A career which began in the National Health Service provided the grounding for what I do now as a Clinical Hypnotherapist.
I have been working in the medical field now for more than 30 years. After 17 years in the NHS, I moved into the private health care sector, taking on management roles in health-related companies, and in 1985 I came to Harley Street.
My interest in hypnotherapy grew from an observation that patients referred to hypnotherapists experienced huge success, particularly those suffering from stress and anxiety.
I studied at the Institute of Clinical Hypnosis, and obtained the Professional Diploma and the Advanced Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy. I have also trained as an Ultra Depth Practitioner, focusing on areas of special interest, including smoking cessation, weight management, cancer support, and relationships.
Professionally, I keep up-to-date by attending conferences and special interests groups. I am an active member of the British Institute for Integrated Medicine, and the Hypnotherapy Society where I helped develop the National Occupational Standards for Hypnotherapy. I am accredited by the General Hypnotherapy Register, and am registered with the NHS to provide services through your GP.
